Tiny Witch Tale
A downloadable game
Tiny Witch Tale
Tiny Witch Tale is a 2D pixel-art platformer set within a dim, interior world built from towering stacks of books, brick walls, and stained glass. You play as a tiny witch navigating a space that feels both magical and toy-like, where everyday objects behave as playful systems rather than static scenery.
The game’s core mechanics are inspired by physical toys and simple cause-and-effect interactions. Book platforms can be arranged like dominoes, triggering cascading movements that reshape the environment, while water-game–inspired features introduce pressure-based interactions that reward observation and experimentation. These toy-like systems are gradually added and layered across levels, encouraging players to learn through play rather than instruction.
Narratively, the world reflects a sense of toys coming to life and attempting to flee their confined spaces. As the witch moves deeper into the environment, playful mechanisms become increasingly unpredictable, blurring the line between controlled puzzles and chaotic motion. This tension between order and escape shapes both the gameplay and atmosphere.
Across three handcrafted levels, Tiny Witch Tale introduces core platforming and enemies, expands into domino-driven puzzles, and culminates in levels that merge monster encounters with water-based toy mechanics. Together, the pixel art visuals, sprite-based character animation, and evolving physics systems create an intimate, tactile experience centered on playful discovery.
